Recreation Swim Team

The Peak Summer Recreation Swim Team is for children ranging from ages 4-18 interested in taking part in the sport of competitive swimming.  Prior competitive swimming experience is not required.  Children should have a background in swim lessons and be should be able to swim one length of the pool freestyle. 

Participates will receive structured guidance in swim technique and racing strategy.  Swimmers will also gain overall fitness and flexibility by participating. 

The Swim Team is part of a local suburban league.  Most meets are on Saturday morning or weekday evenings around 7pm and will last approximately 3 hours.  Swimmers are not required to make all meets and practices but are required to inform coaches if they will not be present.

Staff

Roman Koval – Coached the 2007 Summer Rec Team at PPC.  Completed a year of NCAA swimming on the Baldwin-Wallace Swim Team.  Completed four years of high school swimming at Padua Franciscan High School.

Nick Federico – Coached the 2007 Summer Rec Team at PPC.  Attends Miami University, where he participates on the college club swim team.  Completed four years of high school swimming at Padua Franciscan High School.

Zack Turk – Completed four years on the St. Edwards Swim Team.  School Record holder in the 100 and 50 yard freestyle.  Pursuing a NCAA swimming career at the collegiate level.
