Ask a Trainer
How often do I need to exercise to really make a difference with my fitness level?
Excellent question! Everyone should daily have 30 minutes of physical activity. However, remember that physical activity does not necessarily mean a workout here at Peak. You need to be active walking around the block, gardening or playing with your kids daily. If your goal is to increase in physical fitness (cardiovascular conditioning, weight loss, etc.), you need to come in at least 3 times but no more than 6 times during the week. Remember: check in with your doctor if you are starting a new workout routine!
Here are a few tips:
1. Change your workout exercises every 2-3 months! Change your intensity and exercises! Monotony is the largest undermining factor in fitness plateau.
2. Change your workout days and length of time. If you don't know what to do, connect with one of Peak's Personal Trainers for a session or two.
3. At the end of your workout, you should be done! What we mean is: push past your comfort zone!
