John Scardino, M.S.


John Scardino is the Director of Training at the Peak Performance Center. His passion for life and sport has led him in many divergent directions.  Growing up in a suburb of Youngstown, Ohio he developed a love for basketball, football, and track and field.  During his senior year of high school he captured All-State honors in track and field.  He then earned a B.A. in Psychology from University of Mount Union and an M.S. in both Exercise Science and Sport and Exercise Behavior from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  During his college years John became interested in the sport of competitive bodybuilding. In the summer of 1997 he had the opportunity to actually step on stage and compete in one show, finishing 2nd in his weight category.  Since graduating from Miami in June of 2000, he has worked as a personal trainer, inspiring hundreds of people of all ages and levels to achieve their health, fitness, and nutrition goals.  He is also certified as a Parisi Speed School Performance Coach and a Level I Crossfit Instructor.  In recent months he has adopted Crossfit as a way of life, incorporating its training and nutrition philosophies into his daily routine. His interests outside of the gym include Zen Buddhism, self-guided inprovement, and his 10 pound JackChi, Louis.

 

 

Brett Sprockhoff, B.S.

 

Brett is a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Exercise Science. Brett is an accomplished ski racer and has raced against various Olympians, Olympic medalists, and National and World Champions. Brett is currently a race coach at Boston Mills/Brandywine ski resort and is a founding member of Evolution Racing, a Cleveland area race team.

For as long as I can remember I have always been a “workout-a-holic”. Teaching group fitness classes and training one-on-one with specific individuals has helped me develop a unique training style perfect for anyone who finds themselves bored with typical gym workouts. Fitness should be fun and a part of everyone’s life style.

Certifications: AFAA CPT, Parisi Performance Coach, AFAA Primary Group Fitness, Senior Fitness Certification, BTS- Group Power and Group Centergy and Lemond Cycle Certified.
